The Apple Doesn't Fall Far...

It seems that I'm not the only one in my house who wrestles with impatience...

Can you tell from this picture that all 25 days of one of the boy's advent calendar have ALREADY been opened? I won't tell you who the suspects are, but there were three participants! :) I should have known they were being much too quiet for way too long! It'a always a humbling experience as a parent when you are required to discipline your children for something you know you wrestle with in your own heart!

The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness,
He will not always strive with us; nor will He keep His anger forever.
He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him.
As far as the east is from the west,
so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
Just as a father has compassion on those who fear Him,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.
For He Himself knows our frame...
Psalm 103:8-14

I love these crazy boys, and I am so thankful for how the Lord is using their little lives to teach me so many, many things.

Lord, work Your grace and patience into this heart...
