A Day For Dancing

Today was a really, really good day - a day for dancing! The pictures tell the whole story!

Praise God for these tiny little events that were giant whispers from Heaven that God is able! Sophi let me (her daddy) hold her for MUCH longer periods like a baby, and she was relaxed! She is learning to rest in her father's love...so she might someday rest in His! She looked through a book several times and kept stopping to feel the elephant's soft, fuzzy ears. Once she even moved her hand from the elephant ear and put her finger in my ear as she smiled! Maybe it was because her daddy is getting older and has "fuzz" showing up where it is not supposed to! Or maybe it is because she was comprehending and connecting! Maybe she was just simply being a little nut and showing us her spunky sense of humor! Praise God! Praise God! Praise God! She played with a toy for a brief moment today and imitated her momma by placing a ring on her head! She clung to momma and daddy all day, enjoyed every morsel of her treats, and giggled as her parents enjoyed her! But, most of all, we danced! Sophi and I jumped up and down together around in circles and laughed! Yes, Melanie and I are exhausted, but it's a good kind of tired! Sophi has been tossed into the air at least 500 times and swung around and held and loved on all week! But today we danced! Praise God! He has already gone ahead of us and exceeded all we had imagined or guessed or requested! Praise God!

Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing; Thou hast loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness; that my soul may sing praise to Thee, and not be silent. Oh Lord my God, I will give thanks to thee forever. Psalm 30:11-12

  4. I just found your blog...we were in Bulgaria for our first visit last July, our boys came home in December. We were going to adopt one little one in Shumen, but he died shortly before our dossier was submitted. Are you in an orphanage or the institution there? Our son was in the institution..his name was Jordan and he died last May. If you are in the institution, please tell them we still think about Jordan daily.
We visited Shumen for 2 days while there, visited Jordan's grave, and did some sightseeing. Be sure to get to the ruins up on the plateau. They are very cool, and the small museum there has an English speaking caretaker!
Sophi is beautiful, and I look forward to following your blog.
